Next up for the Y&E is a home game against Chester le Street Town. The first game of a busy November is sponsored by Carter Steel and the matchball is sponsored by Ian Stafford. Massive thanks for your support, it is appreciated.

It promises to be a tough game for the Y&E with Chester le Street Town coming in to the game sitting just a point behind the Y&E in filth place, albeit having played 3 games more. Defensively they have conceded just 18 goals, compared to our 17 goals. In attack they’ve scored 31 in the league. Form wise they have taken 10 points from their last six games. Wins over Boldon, Esh Winning, Ryton and a draw against Redcar Town and defeats against Synners & last time out away vs Alnwick Town. Away from home they’ve played 11, won seven and lost four and are yet to draw away from Moor Park.
We’ve played them once already this season, a 1-0 opening day victory away at Moor Park, with Sam Conway getting the solitary goal in the 57th minute. Since then Town have strengthened their attack, with the addition of Ryan Wright from Thornaby and Scott Robson from Northern Premier League side Dunston UTS. Their top scorer in the league is Lucas Nelson with 8 in the league so far.
Last season a Tom Atkinson hat trick sealed a 3-0 home victory for the Y&E against Town. This was backed up by 5-0 win at Moor Park on the last day of the campaign.
Squad wise forward Josh Larkin made his long awaited return from injury midweek against Newcastle University. Josh Marshal, Harry Williams and Ross Harrison are all likely be pushing for a return to the starting XI having missed the 2-1 win against Newcastle Uni. Once again plenty of tough selection decisions for Jacko and the management team.
With Boro playing down at Watford, Bedford Terrace is the place to get your Saturday Football fix. It’s £6 entry for adults, £4 for concessions and accompanied U16 are free. Printed match programme is on sale and the half time bottle draw is for a bottle of Port. Hot drinks, snacks, burgers and pies available from the cafe.
Hope to see plenty of you there backing the mighty Y&E. Spread the word, bring your friends to see the Y&E
We hope to see you there!
