The Y&E U21s took an important victory in North Riding League Divsion two, with a 3-2 win at home against New Marske
Having lost against the same opponents in the league cup 5-4 in a nine goal thriller back in October, the victory keeps the U21s very much in the chase for the promotion places. They currently sit in third place in the league on 28 points after 11 games as we head in to the winter break.

The U21s were two goals up with young central defender Jacob Bridgehouse and captain Ste Innes scoring first half goals. The lads were relatively comfortable but goals either side of half time from the visitors brought them right back in to the game.
As the match entered the last 10mins, who else was there but serial bagsman Grant Catnach who finished to put the U21s up 3-2. That’s how it finished, another big win for our young squad.

A brilliant way to finish 2025, with plenty of celebrations at their team Christmas party after the game.
Next up it’s back in action on the 10th January. Fixtures due to be confirmed soon, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media for more details.
