Back in midweek action at Bedford Terrace as we welcome Sunderland RCA to Bedford Terrace in a Tuesday Night 7.30pm kick off in a rearranged game following a postponement from January 10th. Thanks to Match Sponsor Dragontail Consulting and Match ball sponsor Jim Topping.

The gates will be open at 6.30pm, it’s £6 for adults, £4 concessions and accompanied U16 are free. There will be a printed match programme on sale, with plenty of delicious food in the café and Minty will be running the half time bottle draw. We’ve checked d the pitch and its looking good, and with the weather forecast looking fair for tomorrow it should be all systems go as we look to keep up our unbeaten start to 2026.
Facing us in an RCA team who currently sit in 15th place in the league on 37 points. They have played 29 games, W10 D7 L10. Soring 37 and conceding 40. Away from home they have played 12, W3 D3 and L6 scoring 12 and conceding 16.
Form wise, they’ve only played one game in 2026, a 1-1 draw at home against Synners. Before that game they had a further 3 draws and 2 defeats (Ryton and Park View).
With only 1 league game in the last 5 weeks or so, they’ll be keen to get back to league action. Despite their league position, they will be a tough test for us. In the away game back in August a Tom Atkinson strike on 37 minutes was enough to see us take the points. We managed to hold out defensively despite some pressure from the home side. The game will also be remembered for a quick fire booking for sub goalkeeper Ethan Lansdell who was booked on 90+3 after making his outfield debut for the Y&E coming on for Ste Roberts on 90minutes.
Last season we won 3-1 at home. A first half stoppage time goal from Tom, was followed up by a Cam Wild goal on 71, only for Aiden Stanton to score on 76, before Tom got his second in stoppage time.
With last week’s games against Esh (league cup) and Redcar Town (league) both off due to the weather, Jacko and the lads will be looking forward to getting back in to competitive action. The lads were training at Conyers last Friday night, as they looked to keep the fitness up ahead of a busy couple of weeks with us back in the midweek / Saturday cycle. Jacko has pretty much a full squad available, except for longer term injuries to Ross Harrison, Hillers and Charlie Fixter.
It’s chance for us to keep some pressure on the teams around us and as ever your support at the games is massively appreciated. We hope to see you there backing the lads.
