The final league game of the season. At home against our landlords Billingham Town. The last game of the season and a chance to win the league.
It’s a 3pm kick off at Bedford Terrace. The match is sponsored by Smiggy, Jerry, Nelly & Grimbo (the Y&Es premier own version of Take That) & matchball sponsored by Y&E stalwart Daz Newlove. Thanks all for your continued support.

We know the various permutations. All require us to win. That’s all that we can do today. Work hard to get the three points. Whatever happens between Darlo Town & Redcar Town we need to do our job.
It’s been another fantastic season. Once again over 90points in the league. A County Cup final & a league cup semi final to come. The players & management deserve enormous credit for what they have done. To cap it off with some silverware & promotion would be just reward.
In our way today will be a tough Billingham Town side. They are 11th in the league on 54 points. P41 W16 D6 L19 scoring 69 & conceding 68.
We’ve played them twice this season already, losing 1-0 at home in the league back in October and a 0-0 draw last month in the Ernest Armstrong League cup (where we won on pens). Neither game was full of chances.
They’ve had a recent managerial change with Jamie Poole standing down after their Easter Sunday defeat against Synners. Players Matthew Robinson & Liam Southsll have taken temporary charge of the side along with goalkeeping coach Steve Grazier. Since the change they lost away at Tow Law, beat Park View at home and last time out they lost 3-0 at home to Ryton & Crawcrook Albion on Tuesday.

We go into the game in a rich vein of form following our 4-2 win away at Redcar Town. Tom Atkinson took his 4th hattrick in 6 games against Redcar. He’s scored 16 goals in those 6 games. Hopefully that form continues today as we look to break down a tough hard working Billy Town side. We put in another solid defensive shift against Redcar on Tuesday backed up by some excellent work in midfield. The lads will be looking to replicate that against Billy Town.
Squad wise – pretty much everyone is available for selection. Jacko & the manager team will have the lads prepped and ready for the last league game of the campaign.
There is no Boro game today, the weather looks half decent. There’s no excuse not to get down to Bedford Terrace to back the lads. See you there
