Ryton sit in 14th place in the league having taken 13points from their first ten games. They’ve conceded 13 & scored 18. At home they’ve played four times winning 3 & losing one. Their only home defeat was a 1-0 win for Seaham Red Star. Their wins included a 2-0 win at home against Alnwick Town last Wednesday and an 8-0 victory over Esh Winning. Last time out they lost 2-0 away at Park View, conceding two second half goals. Louis Calvert is their top scorer so far this season with 4 league goals.

The Oldhaulage Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for the Y&E with both our league visits ending in defeat. Last season we lost 1-0 on the opening day of the season, a 13th minute goal from Joseph Groves Forbes being the difference between the sides. In our first Northern League season we lost 3-1 back in September 2023.

As with most teams & the amount of games recently, Jacko has a few injury concerns to contend with when selecting the team. Harry Williams is likely to return to the starting XI and captain Cam Wild is back available for selection. Midfielders Harry Stewart Titchner & Josh Marshall will be both looking to continue their rich vein of form, and whichever back five is selected they’ll be hoping to get back to keeping a clean sheet after the two late goals against us last week vs Seaham.

Hopefully we’ll see a few of the Y&E faithful there backing the lads.
