Next up for the Y&E is a home game against Esh Winning. There is a pitch inspection this morning , following the persistent rain on Teesside throughout the week.

The match is due to kick off at 3pm at Bedford Terrace and is sponsored by the Country’s top grounds maintenance contractor Cutting Edge Grounds maintenance. The matchball is sponsored by Tooth Express. Thank you to both – your support is massively appreciated.
It’s a chance for the Y&E to get back to winning ways following the midweek 0-0 draw vs Sunderland RCA.
Esh Winning have had a tough season and currently sit bottom of the league on 12 points from 28 games. Their last points coming from a 2-0 home win at home vs Grangetown on the 1st November.
Like many teams, the weather has played havoc with their January fixture list, they’ve only played on league game in 2026, a 2-0 home defeat vs Boldon CA.
We won 3-1 away at Esh back in September. They were the much better team 1st half, deservedly going in 1-0 up at half time. Three second half goals from Marshy, Ste Roberts & Ross Harrison sealed the victory for us.
Last season in the corresponding fixture an 84th minute JL10 goal was enough to seal a 1-0 against Esh. That was back in early March and was an important win to keep the momentum up in the run in to the end of season.
Once again Jacko will have pretty much a full squad available for selection. Hillers, Ross and Charlie are still out, Joe Scaiffe Wheatley was training with the squad pre the RCA game. There are no suspensions in the squad, the biggest worry we all have is the weather & pitch conditions.
Keep you eyes peeled on social media for updates on the pitch inspection.
If the game is off, the U21s welcome Redcar Town U23s to Conyers in a 1400 kick off. You are still able to get your Y&E footie fix this weekend.
