Next up for the Y&E is a Friday night trip up the A19 to face 2nd place Easington Colliery. The game kicks off at Welfare Park (SR8 3PL) at 7.30pm.

Once again our away games this season are sponsored by Dragontail consulting. Thank you for your support.
It promises to be a tough test for the Y&E away at one of the early season pacesetters. Olly Hotchkiss’ side have got off to an impressive start to the season, currently in 2nd place with a record of W8 D1 L1 F31 A7 from their opening 10 games. Newton Aycliffe are the only team to beat Easington in the league, a 1-0 win at welfare park late last month. Division 2 Durham United had a surprise FA Vase win against Easington last Friday night, the game finished 2-2 before a 4-2 win on pens for United. Liam Adamson is their danger man with a league leading 12 goals this season.
Our last away game at Easington saw us some away with a point following a 1-1 draw in a late season game in the 23/24 season. The game was notable for the first team debuts for Harry Stewart Titchner and Freddie McBride.
After last weekend’s victory in the FA Vase against Kendal Town, the lads will be looking to secure another clean sheet against a strong Easington attack. Jacko will be hopeful a few injuries are starting to clear up with more the squad available for selection this on Friday. Our away form has been good this season with 3 wins and a draw from our opening 4 away fixtures. Let’s hope this continues!!
It would be great to see plenty of Y&E support at Easington backing the lads.
For those of you who want a double Y&E fix this weekend, the reserves are in action at Allen’s West on Saturday afternoon with a 2pm kick off against Thornaby Nash.
