Next up for the Y&E is another huge game. This time it’s the North Riding Senior Cup where we make the trip south for a change, to face Northallerton Town FC in the semi final. Once again our away games are sponsored by Dragontail Consulting – thanks for your continued support.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm at the Calvert stadium in Northallerton. DL7 8HA

Gates open at 6.30pm and It’s £7 adults, £5 concessions, £2 children to get in.

After our heroics away at Scarborough where we won on penalties against the National League North side in the last round and our win vs York City in the second round, Northallerton are the third team from a higher league that we will face in the competition this season.

To get to the semi final, Town beat Thornaby 1-0 at home and then Marske United 4-0 away.

Form goes completely out of the window it cup games. Especially semi finals. It’s a one off game and both teams will be pushing hard to get to the final for the first time in their history (please correct me if I’m wrong Northallerton Town supporters)

There is strong connection between the two teams with management duo Jacko and Richie Walker along with defender / forward Dan Jones having combined for over 600 appearances for Town. It’ll certainly be familiar territory for them at the Calvert Stadium. There will be no room for nostalgia, the team will be fully focussed on the task at hand.

There’s no Boro games or any other football on to distract, so hopefully we’ll see a big Y&E contingent at the game backing Jacko and the lads.
