Next up for the Y&E is the visit of Blyth Town. The game kicks off at 7:30pm at Bedford Terrace, with gates open from 6:30pm.
Thanks to match sponsor Andy Bliss and match ball sponsor Mike Smith & Finance Solutions Northern. Your support is massively appreciated.

It’s three years since we last played Blyth. An early Tom Atkinson goal and a resolute defensive display saw us take a huge three points in our first season in the Northern League. In the return game in Northumberland, we lost 3-2 just before Christmas. Since then, they have had two consecutive promotions followed by a relegation from the Northern Premier League East last season. They are certainly one of the strongest teams in the league and were tipped by many to be in the mix at the end of the season.
Blyth make the trip down the A19 in 8th place in the league on 16 points. Their record is P11 W5 D1 L5 F24 A13. Away from home, they are P6 W3 D0 L3 F12 A8 for 9 points. Form-wise, they’ve lost four on the bounce in the league. Two late goals from Kendal gave them a 5-4 defeat [Note: check context below], which was followed by three consecutive 1-0 defeats against Newton Aycliffe (a), Easington (h), and Crook Town (a) last Saturday. Bailey Adamson is their danger man with 13 goals in all competitions so far.
As for the Y&E, Jacko & the lads will be looking to bounce back after Friday’s 1-0 defeat away at Easington. We go into the game in 5th place on 20 points from 11 games. Squad-wise, HST was on the bench against Easington and will be pushing to be in the squad again. We don’t have any suspensions at the moment. Whatever squad is selected, we know they’ll put a shift in against a very strong Blyth Town side.
It’s the international break—so what better way to get your football fix than watching the Y&E? The café will be open, 50/50 draw tickets will be on sale, and a printed match programme will be available to buy.
We’ll see you there.
