Next up for the Y&E is a trip to the East Durham Coast to face Horden CW in a 7.30pm kick off.

Both teams go in to the game on the back of opening day victories & will be full of confidence, looking to add more points to the early season tally.

Horden won 2-1 at home against Crook Town, Philly Angus and Elliot Wilson on the scoresheet for them before conceding an injury time

Similarly the Y&E were 2-1 winners at home against Newcastle Benfield. Sam Conway scoring for the second consecutive 1st game of the season after netting the winner in last Season’s opener away at Chester le Street Town. A second half Tom Atkinson penalty after Cam was fouled in the box made it 2-0 before a late goal from Benfield made it a nervy few minutes.

The last time we faced Horden was back on March 2025, in a top of the table clash at Horden. An eventful 0-0 draw with the Y&E missing a first minute penalty and the Horden keeper seeing red late on. It was a hell of game in front of a bumper Friday night crowd and a cracking advert for Northern League Division 2 football.

The Y&E welcome back Harry Stewart Titchner in to the squad after he served the last game of his suspension from last season. Jacko & the management team have pretty much a full squad available for selection.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm at Welfare Park Horden SR8 4DH.
