Next up for the Y&E is a trip up the A1 to Chester le Street where we will face Park View.
The game kicks off at 3pm at the Riverside, DH3 3SH. Its right next to the Durham Cricket Ground. As ever our away games are sponsored by Dragontail Consulting. Thanks as always for your support.
Jacko and the lads will be looking to continue our unbeaten start to 2026, following on from our 4-1 midweek victory against Grangetown. That was our 7th without defeat since the turn of the year and was a good way to get back to winning ways after the late equaliser against Newbiggin last Saturday. Once again Jacko will have pretty much a full squad to choose from with only Josh Marshall unavailable as he serves the 1st of 2 match suspension. We’ve scored 15 in the last 4 league games, JL10 bagging 5 of these and Tom with 3.
That rich run of scoring form will be up against the bets defensive record in the league, with Park View conceding only 28 goals from their 33 games this season. At home the have conceded 16 goals in their 16 home games. Overall, this season they are P33 W18 D7 L8. Their home record is P16 W10 D2 L4.
Form wise they are W2 D2 L2 from their last six games. Defeats against Grangetown and Seaham Red Star, victories against Prudhoe and Durham United and draws against Redcar Town and last time out 0-0 away at Alnwick Town.

They recently welcome back powerful striker Stephen Siyanbola, who had moved to NPL East side Blyth Town. He returned to Park View with a bang scoring 2 in their 2-1 victory against Durham United last weekend. It’s a match up that Captain Cam Wild always seems to enjoy with plenty battles with Siyanbola over the past two seasons. Park View has a steady core of players, with few new additions over the season. They always have plenty of pace and technical ability and are led well by captain Dylan Wilkinson in defence.
In the reverse fixture we left it very late, with a Cam Wild header on 90+3 and Sam Conway on 90+6 sealing a 2-0 victory back in September. Last season in the league we won 1-0 away , JL10 scoring on 9, in a game which saw Josh Marshall sent off for 2 bookings. We should have been at least 2 goals up after a sensational first half, but were pegged back second half and managed to hold out in the end for the a single goal victory. In the home fixture last season we lost 1-0 to a late winner, Marshall again seeing red. Add in our league cup victory last season and in the 4 games between the sides since the start of the 2024/25 season, there hasn’t been a game where both teams have scored.
As ever we hope to see plenty of Y&E support at the game backing the lads.
Howay the mighty Y&E
