Next up for the Y&E is a home game against Tow Law on Tuesday evening. It’s a 7.30pm kick off at Bedford Terrace. The match is sponsored by Tooth Express and the matchball is sponsored by CeramX. Thank you for your support – it is massively appreciated.

This is the rearranged game following the non start of the floodlights way back in mid August. The match was abandoned on 70minutes with the Y&E ahead 2-0. Tom Atkinson and Dan Jones with first half goals. Before anyone asks we do have some 50p coins lined up for the meter if needed tomorrow. (If anyone wants to chip in with some more money for floodlight costs we are always open to donations!)

Tow Law currently sit in 20th place in the league table on 15points. Last time out they had an important win over fellow County Durham side Esh Winning. Over there last six games in the league, they’ve won 2 and lost 4. Scoring 4 goals and conceding 14, including six goals against Redcar Town. Away from home this season, they’ve won 2 and lost 8. They are yet to draw away. One of their away wins was at Bedford Terrace, where they won 2-1 vs Billy Town. Their top scorer is Ashley Adams with 3 league goals.

With the postponement in August we’ve yet to play Tow Law. The return fixture at the Ironworks Ground is scheduled (weather permitting) for Saturday 13th December.

With the defeat on penalties against Fulwood in the rear view mirror, it’s a chance for the lads to focus on getting back to winning ways. It’s a quick turnaround, but that’s the nature of non league football especially with progress in knockout competitions. Jacko will be looking to see how players have come out of the Vase game before selecting the starting XI. Midfielder Harry Stewart Titchner is back available after suspension in the FA Vase as is forward Ste Roberts.

With no other games in the area tomorrow night, where better to get your midweek football fix? The cafe will be open with hot drinks, pies and burgers on sale. You can win a bottle of Baileys on the half time draw.

Get yourself there to back the mighty Y&E 🔵⚪️🦅
